Product Description:
Algostop Depot (12 Tablets) provides long-lasting and reliable protection against algae growth in freshwater aquariums from 40 litres. The special depot formula releases the highly concentrated active ingredient slowly and evenly, protecting the aquarium against various types of algae for approximately four weeks.
The active ingredient specifically targets the metabolism of algae, effectively preventing new algae growth. The aquarium water remains clear, as the product neither discolours nor clouds the water.
When used as directed, Algostop Depot is gentle on fish, aquatic plants and beneficial microorganisms. Adequate oxygenation should be ensured during use, for example with an aquarium air pump. Dead algae should be removed mechanically on a regular basis to help maintain stable water quality.
For long-term algae prevention, it is also recommended to reduce excess nutrients such as phosphate and nitrate in the aquarium water. In cases of acute algae infestation, fast-acting algae treatments can also be used as a supplementary measure.
