The Söchting Carbonator provides a natural and consistent CO2 supply for your aquarium plants – without any cables, electricity, or pressurised gas cylinders. This innovative system generates around 1 gram of pure CO2 per day, which is readily absorbed by aquatic plants to support healthy growth and vibrant colours.
The device works according to the proven Söchting Oxydator principle: a catalyst stone continuously drives citric acid from a cartridge into a carbonate solution. This reaction produces a harmless citrate solution and pure carbon dioxide, which is collected under a small bell and gradually released into the water.
Thanks to this clever system, only CO2 enters the aquarium, while by-products remain in the container and can be easily disposed of later. With the included refill kit, the Söchting Carbonator operates reliably and with minimal maintenance for up to two months.
