Product Description:
Catappa Bark provides an especially intensive form of natural water conditioning in aquariums. The Indian almond bark releases beneficial humic and tannic substances into the water over approx. 3 weeks, strengthening the mucous membranes of fish and helping to prevent pathogen intrusion.
It improves water quality, supports shrimp during molting, encourages breeding behavior, and even helps inhibit the spread of blue-green algae.
The bark is especially helpful during transport or water changes to reduce stress and germ exposure for aquatic animals. Catappa Bark has an unlimited shelf life when stored dry and does not affect beneficial bacteria.
For a natural and stable aquarium environment – straight from nature!
Usage:
Use 1 piece of Catappa Bark per approx. 100?L of aquarium water.
Optionally, briefly scald with boiling water beforehand for faster release of active ingredients.
Replace after approx. 3 weeks; old bark can be left in the tank as shrimp food or shelter.
