Product Description:

The PAT Mini Standard filter sponges from AQUAEL are an essential component for maintaining high water quality in your aquarium. Each pack contains two high-quality sponge cartridges specifically designed to efficiently filter visible debris and provide a surface for the growth of essential nitrifying bacteria.

These sponges are made from phenol-free material, making them safe for all your aquarium inhabitants. They are particularly effective at mechanical filtration by trapping particles that can cloud the water. Additionally, the porous structure of the sponge promotes the growth of bacteria necessary to control harmful ammonia and nitrite levels in the aquarium.

For optimal performance and to maintain the biological balance of your aquarium, it is recommended to replace the filter sponges regularly and to clean them only in used aquarium water during maintenance. This helps preserve the vital bacterial colonies that have formed on the sponge and ensures continued effective filtration and a healthy aquatic environment.

Ideal for aquarists seeking a reliable and easy solution for both mechanical and biological filtration to improve and maintain water quality in their aquariums.

NOTE: If you keep baby shrimp in your aquarium, be sure to use the dedicated baby shrimp sponge, which has a finer structure for added safety.
