Product Description:
HydroBalls™ Expanded Clay Substrate consists of lightweight, porous clay balls used as a lower drainage layer in terrariums. When combined with an upper substrate, they create a natural water reservoir that forms an "underground waterline" when water is added – helping to maintain consistent humidity levels. Perfect for tropical reptiles, amphibians, or invertebrates.
HydroBalls also provide an excellent base for live plants: the clay balls retain moisture without becoming waterlogged, ensuring proper root aeration. They can also be used as a filtering medium in waterfall or paludarium setups. A versatile, clean, and long-lasting foundational substrate for naturalistic terrarium environments.
