Product Description:
Jun Platinum Soil Black Fine is an active, porous substrate made from natural Japanese soil with a fine grain size of 1.6–3 mm. It offers excellent filtration and absorption properties, making it especially suitable for aquascaping as well as planted and shrimp aquariums. The dark coloration highlights the colors of plants, shrimp, and fish beautifully. Thanks to its slow nutrient release, it promotes the long-term growth of even demanding aquatic plants. At the same time, it reliably lowers and stabilizes pH, KH, and GH, creating an ideal environment for sensitive soft-water species. The fine grain makes it easier to plant delicate species, while the porous structure provides ideal conditions for nitrifying bacteria. This supports biological filtration and keeps the water clear and healthy. Platinum Soil is ready to use, requires no rinsing, and can be added directly to the aquarium. Any initial cloudiness usually disappears within a few hours. Suitable for beginners in the aquarium hobby.
Please note: Jun Platinum Soil Black gently lowers KH and reduces the pH level to around 6.5–6.8.

For best results, Platinum Soil should be used as the sole substrate. Also available in finer variants – ideal for detailed layouts. Can also be combined with other substrate types such as sand or gravel.
