Product Description:
Jun Platinum Soil Black is a premium dark natural substrate from Japan, specially designed for aquascaping, planted aquariums, and shrimp tanks. Its porous, sintered structure provides ideal conditions for root development and colonization by beneficial nitrifying bacteria. The 3–4 mm grain size allows secure planting even of delicate species and ensures effective nutrient uptake. Platinum Soil reliably lowers KH, GH, and pH, creating optimal conditions for tropical soft-water fish, dwarf shrimp, or demanding plant species. The substrate is ready to use—no rinsing required. It stabilizes water chemistry, reduces cloudiness, and absorbs discoloration caused by roots or decorations. Its slow nutrient release ensures long-lasting effects and promotes healthy, balanced plant growth. Suitable for beginners in aquatics.
Please note: Jun Platinum Soil Black gently lowers KH and reduces the pH to approximately 6.5–6.8.

For best results, Platinum Soil should be used as the sole substrate. Also available in finer grain sizes – ideal for detailed aquascaping layouts.
