Product Description:
The Mangrove Root in size M (25–45?cm) is a decorative natural wood element that adds real character to your aquarium. Each piece features a unique, gnarled structure, bringing texture and authenticity to the tank – ideal as a hiding and retreat space for fish, shrimp, or catfish.
Mangrove wood is particularly water-resistant and heavy – it sinks immediately without the need for soaking or weighting down. In the initial phase, it may tint the water brownish. To reduce this, it's recommended to use activated carbon in the filter and perform regular water changes.
A harmless biofilm may form on the root at first. It can easily be removed or will be eaten by tank inhabitants like Amano shrimp or Otocinclus catfish. A decorative yet functional natural product for a nature-inspired aquarium layout.
