Product Description:
The Test NO2 (Nitrite) enables precise and reliable monitoring of nitrite levels in freshwater and marine aquariums as well as ornamental ponds. Nitrite is a toxic intermediate product in the nitrogen cycle and can affect the health and respiration of fish even at low concentrations.
The test allows elevated nitrite levels to be detected at an early stage before they cause stress or illness in aquarium and pond inhabitants. The measuring range extends from below 0.3 to 3.3 mg/l and enables accurate monitoring of water quality. A nitrite level of 0 mg/l is considered ideal for a healthy aquarium.
The test is quick and easy to perform using the included reagents, test vial and colour chart. The colour results are easy to read and interpret. The set offers excellent long-term stability and enables numerous precise measurements.
The package includes two test reagents, a test vial, a colour chart and detailed instructions for safe and reliable use.
If elevated nitrite levels are detected, a partial water change and the removal of organic waste such as uneaten food or dead plant material are recommended. In addition, the use of water conditioners and live bacterial cultures can help quickly restore the biological balance.
