Product Description:
The Test NO3 (Nitrate) enables precise and reliable monitoring of nitrate levels in freshwater and marine aquariums as well as ornamental ponds. Elevated nitrate levels are among the most common causes of algae growth and can adversely affect water quality and the well-being of aquarium inhabitants over time.
Nitrate is produced as the end product of the natural nitrogen cycle when ammonia and nitrite are broken down by beneficial bacteria. While small amounts serve as nutrients for plants, levels above 50 mg/l can be harmful to fish and promote unwanted algae growth.
The test measures nitrate levels from 0 to 100 mg/l and, thanks to the clear colour chart, allows results to be evaluated easily and reliably. The set includes test reagents, test powder with a measuring spoon, a test vial and detailed instructions for reliable use.
Regular water testing allows potential problems to be identified at an early stage so that appropriate corrective measures can be taken.
